Google claims to be marking a major milestone in quantum computing research that opens up completely new possibilities for this technology. In this video from Google, you’ll learn how the Google AI Quantum team demonstrated how a quantum computer can perform tasks that no classical computer can.
They also suggest that their Sycamore processor only took 200 seconds to perform a calculation that IBM’s Summit supercomputer would need 10.000 years to complete. If that is true or not, we will leave unsaid but it’s very impressive either way.
