Last week, the AWWA held their annual conference, bringing together more than 11,000 water professionals from around the United States. As suppliers of rugged mobile computers, we have the opportunity to talk to field professionals in many different industries. While there is often a common task—bringing information into the field, collecting data while in the field, or communicating with back end systems remotely—each industry has its own flavor. This year’s conference included a tap water tasting contest, crowning one city with the honor of “Best Tap Water “. And, the most exciting event was the National Pipe Tapping Championships.
