Microsoft’s Your Phone app lets you mirror your phone content to a PC, for example, by dragging and dropping photos between the devices.

During the Microsoft Build developer conference in May, the software builder unveiled their app that is designed to mirror content from a mobile device to a PC.

On their blog, they say:

You can finally stop emailing yourself photos. With Your Phone app, your Android’s most recent photos sync to your PC automatically.

The app is currently only available for Android users, and the main function is the ability to drag and drop photos between your devices. Microsoft’s plan is, however, to expand the app by adding support for text message sync and notifications.

When to try it out

Microsoft started testing the app with Windows 10 Insiders last month, but then made it publicly available. Later, they once again removed support for existing versions of Windows 10 and limited it to Windows Insiders.

If it’s made publicly again, or when it officially launches, the Your Phone app should be available to download from the Microsoft Store here.
