Qualcomm announces the new Snapdragon 865 and 765 chipsets

At the beginning of this week, Qualcomm announced its latest mobile chipsets Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and 765 at the annual Snapdragon Tech Summit.

The Snapdragon 865 is Qualcomm’s high-end chipset expected to be found in the 2020 year’s flagship devices from Samsung, Google, OnePlus, and LG.

However, it will lack built-in 5G. Instead, Qualcomm will sell the Snapdragon 865 in a package with its 5G modem Snapdragon X55.

The same level of performance won’t be accessible in the Snapdragon 765 chipset, which is primarily aimed for mid-range devices.

On the other hand, it comes with an integrated 5G modem meaning it’s likely to enable 5G capabilities to cheaper devices in 2020.

Qualcomm says that the Snapdragon 765 chipset will bring breakthrough entertainment, intelligent multi-camera capabilities, and support for all-day battery life.
